Marcia is still a voluntary Pink Lady working at Blacktown District Hospital.
She has performed the role admirably for 43 years and has never taken time off or holidays during this lengthy stint. She is at the hospital early every Wednesday to prepare sterilising equipment . She provides knitted clothes and rugs for the premature babies, cooked cakes for the hospital fete and washes patients hair when they are unable

Now we can support Marcia by voting for her - the winner will recieve $10,000 to go to their nominatied charity What a better way of saying 'well done Marcia'

Soup and Sandwich Lunch at The Laurels

Submitted by marie on Tue, 2012-07-31 07:19

A very successful lunch was held at The Laurels where we were lucky enough to have four members, Hannah Mills, Joyce Chambers, Heather Baker and James Atkinson, who were volunteers at the Sydney Olympics. They brought several pieces of memorabilia for us to look at and this was very much admired. There was also a plate commemorating the Melbourne Games in 1956.
Hannah and Joyce also took part in the Torch Relay for the Paralympics Games and their torches were on display.
As you can see from the photos some members did get dressed up representing the AFL, League and Soccer.
