Hawkesbury Court's charity is "Cure for Life" supporting Dr Charlie Teo's Work.
Charlie is a brain surgeon and mainly has patients with brain tumours - he has so many children as this is one of the greatest killers of children.
He is also researching the use of mobile phones and brain cancer. He is a talented doctor and relies on donations to continue his research.
It was an all day meeting at Southern Cross beginning with a rehearsal in the morning, lunch, and the Initiation of H.L. Sybil Churchill.
This was then followed by the Installation & Coronation Ceremony of H.L. Margaret Southwell and Officers.
The Grand Royal Patron S.K. Alan Bover, along with three Life Members from Adelaide were in attendance and H.L. Marie Cameron, DSRM had the privilege of performing the Coronation Ceremony.
It was a lovely day from beginning to end

A donation of $1,000 was given by the members of Royal Victoria Court to the Junior Diabetes Foundation which was our outgoing Royal Matron H.L. Helen Wright’s project for 2011/2012

A Rich History
Mavis has a strong link with her ancestors who made the trip to Australia in the early years of European settlement.
Ask Mavis Cobcroft to describe her life of dedicating time and effort to others and she will happily chat about decades of experiences, rattle off quirky tales and talk of earlier days.
HL Pamela Carey was installed as RM and SK John Toakley as RP on the 14th April 2012. HL Pam and SK John have served together six times. This is the 22nd time SK John has been Royal Patron of North Sydney Court. SK John was Grand Royal Patron in 1975-76. In her welcoming address HL Pam said “this will be my swan song, I’m 91 you know.”
The Court project for this year will be The Garven Institute-neuroscience research.

A new year always brings new opportunities and with the enthusiastic help and support of our members in New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and those living in South Australia and Western Australia we hope to do great things to advance our Order.

The Installation of the Royal haven Court No 13 took place on Saturday 31st March at the Bomaderry Community Centre. H.L. Joan Newbery was Installed as the Royal Matron and H.L. Connie Knight was Installed as the Royal Patron. . There were over a hundred members and guests at the Open Installation ceremony and they came from far and wide to be there, Melbourne , Bathurst and Cairns. The Grand Royal Matron H.L. Rosemary Atkinson and the Grand Royal Patron S.K. Alan Bover were in attendance, as was the Grand Master M.W. Bro. Derek Robson, the Deputy Grand Master R.W. Bro.
The tour to the Queensland Grand Court Session will be on Thursday 24th May through until Sunday 27th May 2012
The cost from Sydney is $540.00 per person twin share and includes airfares, bed and continental breakfast for 3 nights, hire care and Retiring Dinner Banquet
A deposit of $300 is required by the 5th March to H.L Heather Baker or H.L. Eileen Jeffery as bookings have to be finaliesed . Balance by the 20th April or you can pay in full by 5th March 2012
